Attention Mount Druitt Members

31/07/2020

As you may or may not be aware, the NSW government has made changes to the Covid-Safe planning for gyms.

With community transmission clusters of COVID-19 on the rise in New South Wales, the NSW Premier has announced all gyms, including 24/7 facilities, must register their COVID Safety Plan and have a dedicated Hygiene Marshall on duty at all times during operational hours from 12.01am on Saturday 1 August.

We ask that all members ensure they are following our process in adherence to the Covid Plan

1. Swipe your card upon entry

2. Sanitize your hands upon entry

3. Bring and USE your towel when training (Face washers, jumpers, spare shirts or other garments will not be accepted)

As of this Monday, our regular automatic doors will be intermittently in operation as well as our phones to allow us a better opportunity to manage these new requirements, it is important that you take note of our new reception hours if you need to resolve issues or wish to sign up, outside of these times all entries will occur via the after hours door.

Monday to Friday, the reception team can be reached both onsite or via telephone from 8.30am to 11.30am and 4pm to 8pm, outside of these windows they will be floating around the gym to ensure social distancing is being adhered to as well as wiping down equipment after use and using your towel.

Please note as of Monday August 3rd we will NOT be restarting our FitKids programming as previously planned, a new date will be advised soon.

Our Mount Druitt club will remain operational 24/7. If you wish to join the club, we kindly ask that you do so by joining online, this frees up the reception area during the limited reception staffed hours, you can join by visiting our join page

As you can appreciate this creates some new obstacles for all fitness centres throughout the state and in response to the new requirements, some changes need to be made to our operating hours at Leonay. We understand this may cause some inconvenience however rest assured that when we can return to regular trading, we will do so.

Please note as of Monday August 3rd we will NOT be running our creche service at Leonay in the evening, mornings will remain operational with an amended commencement time of 9am.

As of Monday August 3rd Erica will be back running Ladies Only Classes in the Ladies Only Zone Monday/Tuesday & Wednesday at 6pm.

We would like to thank you all for your patience!

Our Mount Druitt club will be opening 12am Saturday and our Leonay Club from 6am, from there they will both resume normal trading hours that were in place prior to the shutdown (Yes we are 24/7 again)

Classes will commence from Monday June 15th at both locations

Creche will operate from Monday June 15th, you must book inside the club and the process has changed to 60 minute blocks with a 15 minute changeover to allow us to get more people in for a session.

As part of our Covid Safety plan we have completed the following tasks;

· Removed the mouth pieces from water fountains, spouts to fill your bottles are still there.

· Our showers are temporarily out of action.

· Some equipment has been removed from the floor at both clubs, we have done everything we can to keep as much in play as possible and still follow the requirements.

Yoga mats, skipping ropes, foam rollers and some other commonly shared smaller items have been removed from the floor at both clubs, feel free to bring your own if they are an integral part of your workout.

If you are unwell please do not attend the gym, sanitise your hands upon entry, no towel = no train, and you must wipe down equipment after using it with fitwipes or the spray bottles provided.

Our staff have been waiting a long time to get you all back into the club and we also have some new team members, please be kind and courteous as we navigate these new rules and requirements, we all want the same outcome which is a safe and operational training environment!

See you Saturday!

Timetables to begin Monday June 15th, 6.15am at both clubs.

We are excited to get back into the swing of things, but we want you to know things will look a little different here at NDHC!

All classes will be 45 minutes in duration, class capacities are 10 people and each class will have a 15 minute gap to allow the trainer to adequately clean and prepare for the next group, we kindly ask that you vacate the room at the completion of your session to allow us the chance to ensure we don’t breach any elements of our Covid-Safe plan which has now been registered with the NSW State Government.

Our classes will be available for bookings online for both locations, we have set parameters that mean you can only have 1 active booking on your profile through the online portal, we believe this will be the best solution to accommodate our large membership base and provide a fair opportunity for people to participate in a class. We will have a class booking section available on the website from Saturday where you will have the option to start with your first booking. Any spaces left in classes can be booked onsite through the ticket kiosk at Mount Druitt and the reception desk at Leonay. If you are unsure whether your email is in your membership profile, there will be a forgot password option at the booking page for both sites where you can verify, if it is not in fact registered, please visit the club to add it to your profile, staff will be onsite from this weekend.

We would like to provide an update as to how we are working for a June 13th reopening.

Whilst many of the details are yet to be provided by the state government, we are building systems to ensure we are ready to navigate the new normal that is upon us.

Given the current lack of clarity that surrounds the announcement to allow facilities to reopen, we are only able to provide limited information at this time surrounding planned operations, rules that may apply and our planning to move forward.

We would like to take this opportunity to advise members of their option to extend any current suspended membership until July 16th 2020, in order to do this we have setup a new email account to manage suspensions electronically and would like to invite those who wish to continue the suspension to do so in writing with the following specifics;

Email to suspend@newdimensions.com.au

Club: Mount Druitt or Leonay

Full Name:

Date Of Birth:

Mobile Number:

Period Requested: (if you would like to return before July 16th please state this, alternatively we will place your account on suspension from the date received until July 16)

*Please be advised that if the operational protocols allow regular gym access, we will look to commence regular membership payments where possible* You will receive notification via email/sms prior to being charged for membership resumption if you choose not to request an extension to the membership suspension. Once the information has been provided to us about how we can operate, we will then make a decision on the protocols that surround accessing the facility, what services remain operational, trading hours and also how we will adjust our suspension policy post July 16th for those who still wish to avoid coming to the gym.
We are happy to field questions that you may have, but please note information is limited at this time.
See you soon!
